After a detailed consultation with one of our specialists, the skin is prepared for the treatment. The areas to be treated are disinfected and treated with a locally effective anesthetic cream.

The fractional CO2 laser creates thousands of microscopic heat zones in the skin – tiny dots that specifically remove tiny areas of skin and stimulate the production of new collagen. The surrounding tissue remains intact and supports rapid healing.

Duration:
Depending on the area, 30 to 60 minutes.

Possible Risks and Side Effects

Risks, aftercare & healing time – what you should know

The Risks and Side Effects are Generally Low, but They should not be Underestimated.

The skin reacts immediately after the treatment with redness, slight burning and swelling – comparable to a stronger sunburn. Crusts or skin flakes can develop in the following days.

Important:

The skin must not be scratched or peeled
Daily care with healing creams (we provide)
Strict sun protection with a high SPF for at least 4 weeks

Downtime:
Usually 5–10 days. After that, the skin is socially acceptable again. Make-up is allowed again after about a week.

Risks:
With professional use by medical specialists, side effects are very rare. Temporary pigment shifts or redness are possible. That is why we carry out a precise skin analysis before each treatment and advise honestly whether the CO₂ laser is suitable for you.

Aftercare

Skin care after CO2 laser treatment – the be-all and end-all for optimal results

The right aftercare is decisive for the success of the treatment. Immediately after the treatment, the skin is particularly sensitive, open to infections and programmed for healing. In the first 7–10 days, it needs intensive care and protection.

What you should pay attention to:

Cleaning: Only with lukewarm water and very mild, soap-free cleansers – no rubbing or peeling.
Care: We recommend special, soothing healing creams and moisturizers that strengthen the skin barrier and promote healing. You can get these products from us directly after the treatment.
Sun protection: No discussion – daily SPF 50+, even on cloudy days. For at least 4–6 weeks.
No make-up: Avoid for at least 5 days until the skin has completely regenerated.
No sauna, no sport, no swimming pool: For about a week to avoid irritation and infection.
